Premium Fastener Options

For applications that need very specific components, such as oversized grommets, clips or turn buttons, ask your ALCO representative. These features require special fabrication, which raises the price of the cover.

Air Vents

Add vents to let air circulate under the cover. Ventilation helps prevent condensation from building up on your equipment.

How do you choose a cover material?

We consider the environment, your application and how long you intend to use the cover. For a short usage cycle, we would likely recommend a thinner material to keep your costs down. For longer use, we recommend a thicker material for longevity.

What is the most common material?

90% of the industrial covers ALCO makes are 18 oz. vinyl. It is very slick, so it is easy to clean, and it is very strong. Soft-sided semi-trailers use 22 oz. vinyl, the same material in a heavier weight. We use 18 oz. so the cover stays flexible rather than stiff.

What is the warranty?

18 oz. vinyl covers have a lifetime warranty for as long as the original buyer owns the cover, and clear vinyl covers have a 5-year warranty. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

How long does it take to ship?

Custom-made covers ship in only 7-10 work days from when you place your order.

Can the covers be repaired if they get torn?

Yes. Vinyl covers can be repaired in the field with patch tape. You can buy the tape from ALCO and get your cover back in working order quickly.

Give Us Actual Dimensions

Measure the object you want to cover and give us its actual dimensions. We add the slack needed for a proper fit.

Complex Shapes

Most objects are basic shapes such as cubes, cylinders and triangles. For a more complex object, take a picture, mark it up in any program that lets you draw on a photo, and email it to ALCO. A hand sketch works too.

Brush Off Debris

Brush off loose dirt, leaves and debris.

Wash

Wash the cover with mild soap, water and a soft brush.

Rinse

Rinse the cover with a garden hose.

Dry Completely

Let the cover dry completely before putting it back on your equipment or storing it.

What should I avoid?

Do not use bleach or harsh solvents. They can damage the vinyl.

How do I store it when not in use?

Make sure the cover is clean and dry, then fold it and store it in a dry place.

These custom covers are fantastic. The process was simple, some measurements, sent some pics and chose my color, etc.. These are custom, so they didn't arrive 2 days later, but when they did arrive, fit like a glove and are certainly the best quality cover I have had. More expensive?? Yeah, they were. Worth it?? FINALLY, a cover that is well worth the price! We live in Southern California where the sun can do some damage. I don’t know how many other covers I’ve been through since we’ve had the firepit that just fell apart after a few months. This one is the real deal! Fits perfectly, very durable, you get to pick your color, and it withstands the sun and recent heavy rains!
